SEARCY, Ark. — Colin Dean, of Weatherford, is among the 70 Harding University students selected for inclusion in the 2008 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Dean is a senior majoring in accounting.

Considered national outstanding leaders, the selections were made from campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory. Nominees were chosen on the basis of academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential or continued success.

They join an elite group of students selected from more than 2,000 colleges and universities across the nation. The Who’s Who list has been published annually since 1934.

Harding had a record enrollment this year of more than 6,300 students from 49 states and 52 foreign countries. It is the largest private university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France/Switzerland, Greece, Italy and Zambia.
