WEATHERFORD — Texas AgriLife Extension Service of Parker County will conduct a workshop on “Tools to Becoming an Effective Parent” on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be held at the Parker County Agricultural Service Center located at 604 N. Main in Weatherford.

Topics that will be covered in the workshop are: Child Growth and Development, Communication, Self Esteem, Discipline; Child Health and Food Safety, Growing Healthy and Happy Children with MyPyramid; and Shopping Strategies to Stretch Your Food Dollars. There will be food demonstrations, samples and recipes that will be provided by the Better Living for Texans Program.

The classes are free of charge.

Extension program serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
