A two-vehicle wreck that occurred Monday afternoon on Farm-to-Market Road 51 near Stonebridge Road, north of Weatherford, resulted in the death of a 6-year-old girl, according to the Department of Public Safety.
“Preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on FM 51 and had slowed to a stop to allow northbound traffic to pass before making a left turn onto Stonebridge Road. A 2017 Dodge Ram pickup that was towing a flatbed trailer failed to control its speed and struck the rear of the Toyota,” DPS Sgt. Ricky Hunter said.
“The driver of the Toyota, Angela Quintana, 43, of Weatherford, and a female juvenile passenger [age 12] were transported to Fort Worth area hospitals with undisclosed injuries. A second female juvenile passenger [age 6] in the Toyota died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge, Randall Burcham, 67, of Megargel, was not injured.”
