Kennedy to speak at Parker County Democrats' meeting

Bud Kennedy, Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist and political commentator, will be the guest speaker at the Feb. 10 meeting of the Parker County Active Democrats.

Bud Kennedy, Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist and political commentator, will be the featured speaker at the February meeting of the Parker County Active Democrats.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with a social time, and the program starts at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at the 20th Century Club House, 321 S. Main St., Weatherford. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Annie Garcia, candidate for U.S. Senate from Texas, will also speak to the group via a live stream.

Kennedy is a homegrown Fort Worth guy who started out covering high school football in Fort Worth when he was 16. He went away to the Fort Worth Press and newspapers in Austin and Dallas, then came home in 1981. Since 1987, he’s written more than 1,000 weekly dining columns and more than 3,000 news and politics columns. He says if you don’t like what he says about politics, read him on barbecue.
