Tarrant County man indicted on multiple aggravated assault charges

Christopher Logue

A Parker County grand jury indicted Christopher Allen Logue, 35, of Lake Side, on Jan. 23 for multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon that occurred in Weatherford.

On Nov. 20, 2019, a Parker County sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a home on Canyon West Drive in Weatherford in reference to an assault that had occurred, according to the arrest report. Upon arrival, the deputy met with Logue and a female and male victim. The female victim was screaming and her head and arms were covered in blood. The male victim had multiple spots of bruising on his face and around his eye as well as blood on his head.

The female victim told the deputy that Logue had beat her, beat her husband — knocking him out — and beat her son, according to the report. The son was located by the deputy and was found to have a severe laceration on top of his head, and was having a hard time catching his breath.

It was discovered that following an argument between the husband and Logue’s step-father, Logue hit the husband multiple times in the head and pointed a 9mm handgun at him, according to the report. Logue then hit the wife and son multiple times in the head with a shotgun.

All three victims wanted to press charges and Logue was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Parker County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

“If convicted of aggravated assault, Mr. Logue would be facing a punishment range of two to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine,” Assistant District Attorney Jeff Swain said. “His cases were all randomly assigned to the 43rd District Court, Judge Craig Towson presiding. He will be scheduled for arraignment on Feb. 19 and will reach the trial docket by May.”
