Theatre Off The Square announces auditions for “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare, directed by Edwina Himes. Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the theatre, 114 N. Denton St., Weatherford. Callbacks, if needed, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 5. Rehearsals are scheduled for March 2 through April 10, with two performances on April 11 at the historic Chandor Gardens. The audition will consist of a cold read from the script. Please come prepared with a list of any conflicts between March 2 and April 10.

“As You Like It” is a comedy thought to have been written in 1599. It follows the story of Rosalind, a heroine fleeing persecution. The play contains some of Shakespeare’s most famous and well-known lines, many spoken by a character she meets in the Forest of Arden, Jaques.

Theatre Off The Square also announces auditions for “The Wild Women of Winedale” by Jones Hope Wooten, directed by Marilyn Sanderson. Auditions will take place at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 11 at the theatre. Callbacks, if needed, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 12. The audition will consist of a cold read from the script. Rehearsals are scheduled for March 9 through April 23. Performances are weekends, April 24 through May 10.

This joyful and exuberant, yet ultimately touching, comedy focuses on three women at crossroads in their lives — the Wild sisters of Winedale, Virginia.
