A 15-year-old male Millsap High School student has been charged with a third-degree felony for making a terroristic threat.
The student threatened to "shoot up the school" on Snapchat, Parker County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Danie Huffman said. A concerned parent reported the threat.
PCSO investigators talked with the student, who said the comment was a joke.
"The Sheriff's Office has zero-tolerance for terroristic threats," Huffman said.
Earlier, a post on MISD's Facebook page said the student would not be at school on Tuesday and disciplinary action is being taken.
Millsap ISD Superintendent Deann Lee said she could not comment on the situation because it deals with student information and disciplinary action taken.
