Three people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a home in the 900 block of Center Point Road in Weatherford at 12:15 a.m. this morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

“Preliminary investigation indicates a 2016 Chevrolet passenger vehicle was traveling east on Bankhead Road and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle left the road and struck a house,” DPS Sgt. Richard Hunter said. “The driver of the Chevrolet, Catherine Jane Duffy, 49, of Benbrook, was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.”

Duffy sustained a broken leg as a result of the crash and is still at JPS Hospital, Hunter said.

Hunter said the two occupants of the house, Jesse Jurek, 62, and his wife, Debra, 66, were both taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Jesse was treated for his injuries and released. Debra remains in the ICU at Harris with a neck injury.

Hunter said DPS is investigating the crash at this time.
