Happy Easter everyone!

Students who received scholarships from the Millsap Garden Club are Jacie Drost, Emma Gast, Natalie Glover, Sierra Herbel, Madison Johns, Brayden Lee, Franklin Lopez, Cailee Nowak, Brittany Schnabel and Alerah Turpin.

Despite the construction on FM 113, it has been a great week! There is so much to be grateful for. Ponder this most holy season of the year as we dwell in the freedom offered by the risen Christ. Every church in our community will be celebrating this tomorrow. Pick one and join them! In the tragedy of Notre Dame, the huge golden cross hanging there did not burn despite flames all around. There is always the hope that Easter brings.

Services at First Baptist of Millsap will be at 10:45 a.m. following the 10 a.m. community egg hunt and fellowship. Holders Chapel will host a service at sunrise at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast and services at 9:30 a.m. There are other special Easter services as well.

May 4 — consignment auction and Garden Club bake sale at Walden Farm and Ranch Supply.

May 4 — bake sale hosted by the Garden Club at Tommy’s.

May 4 — guided wildflower walk (identifying and discussing various flowers) at Mineral Wells State Park at 10 a.m. This is free with park admission.

May 11 — bake sale at the Cool Melon Stand to benefit the Angel Tree recipients sponsored by Holders Chapel.

May 12 — Mother’s Day.

Take a moment to congratulate the seniors who received $1,000 scholarships from the Garden Club. The following students were honored at lunch with the membership — Jacie Drost, Emma Gast, Natalie Glover, Sierra Herbel, Madison Johns, Brayden Lee, Franklin Lopez, Cailee Nowak, Brittany Schnabel and Alerah Turpin.

Our community joined the Clary family and many, many friends to celebrate the life of Pamela this past Thursday. Keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

May your Easter be full of every joy.
