Good day friends!
It’s never too late to recognize the outstanding volunteers we have in our community and our firefighters gathered in June with a special dinner at the community center to celebrate their families’ support. They honored Lainea Ashley as Firefighter of the Year and gave service awards to Jeff Edwards for 35 years, and to Mark Anderson and Scott Anderson with 20 years each! Thank you all!

The wonderful staff at MISD never ceases to amaze me. I saw a post on Facebook where a teacher is numbering off her students and asking folks to pick a number, provide a new book for the first day of school for that student and then pray for them all year. What an uplifting idea and an incredible way to support the students in her classroom!
