ALEDO — The Brock Lady Eagles concluded their run through the Moritz Chevrolet Holiday Classic with a 45-25 win over the Brewer Lady Bears to win the consolation championship Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles took control of the game from the free-throw line in the second period. Kenisha Harris, who finished the game going 7-of-12 from the charity stripe, was 6-of-8 from the free-throw line in the second period and led the team in scoring during that period of time.

While Harris had the hot hand in the second period from the free-throw line, the Lady Bears had a big period from Destiny Chandler, who had half of her game-high 14 points in the second.

The score was still tight until the fourth period, where the Lady Eagles were able to constantly apply pressure to the Brewer ball handlers and keep the Lady Bears away from the high percentage shots. The Lady Bears had only one field goal in the fourth period and was only 2-of-6 from the free-throw line.

The Lady Bears hurt themselves in the fourth period with foul trouble, as Brewer had four players foul out of the game.

The Lady Eagles now prepare for the remainder of their district schedule, as they face Godley Tuesday night.
