Brock freshman middle blocker Ellason Felts and the Lady Eagles came away with a 3-2 win over the Boyd Lady Yellowjackets Tuesday evening on the road.

The Brock Lady Eagles followed up a 3-0 win over rival and District 7-3A opponent Peaster Friday with a 3-2 victory over the Boyd Lady Yellowjackets Tuesday evening on the road.

The win proved a reversal of the Lady Eagles’ 2018 fortunes versus the Lady Yellowjackets, when the former was swept by the latter (two matches, both 3-0 wins for Boyd).

Brock rallied from a 25-19 loss in the first set with a 25-17 win in the second set to tie the match, 1-1.

The Lady Eagles capitalized on the win, pulling ahead in the series, 2-1 after taking the third set, 25-21.

However, the No. 2 ranked Lady Yellowjackets did not go quietly, forcing a fifth set after evening the series with a 25-22 win in set four.

In the end, Brock proved the victor, outlasting Boyd, 15-11 in the final set to seal the match win.

The Lady Eagles return home for a district match with the Tolar Lady Rattlers at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
