The Brock Lady Eagles have put together a string of productive performances in tournament play so far this season, going undefeated in the Graham Tournament while finishing fourth in Abilene’s Bev Ball Classic.

That trend of strong tournament performances continued at the Decatur Showcase over the weekend, with Brock (varsity) finishing 3-2.

The Lady Eagles kicked things off with a 2-1 match performance Friday, defeating Hereford, 2-0 (25-23, 25-15) as well as Carrollton Creekview, 2-0 (25-16, 25-18) while falling to Huffman Hargrave.

Brock continued Saturday with a 2-0 loss (19-25, 21-25) to 2018 Class 4A state champion Argyle, while picking up a 2-0 win (25-23, 25-21) versus Belton.

The Lady Eagles continue non-district play, starting with a match against Abilene Wylie at 6 p.m. tonight at home.

From there, Brock plays in three-straight road matches before the team breaks for its Sept. 10 bye.

District play for the Lady Eagles begins Sept. 13 versus Breckenridge.
