The Peaster Lady Greyhounds narrowly missed a win versus the Cisco Lady Loboes over the weekend, as the former fell to the latter, 52-51 at home.
Trailing 11-10 after one quarter, Peaster pulled ahead with a 17-9 run in the second frame to enter halftime up, 27-20.
However, Cisco slowly clawed its way back coming out the break, outscoring Peaster, 15-12 in the third period to pull within, 39-35.
The Lady Loboes increasingly applied pressure to the Lady Greyhounds in the fourth quarter, going on another positive run, this time 17-12 to rally for a late win.
Peaster freshman point guard Brooklyn Bosher made her presence known on the scoreboard, pacing her team with 20 points.
Teammate and fellow freshman point guard Payton Hull also enjoyed a strong outing, putting up 15 points to go along with six steals and four rebounds.
The Lady Greyhounds’ Tori Cast, a senior point guard, added seven points, while freshman forward Landry Robertson came down with five rebounds.
Peaster competes in the Bowie Tournament in Austin through today.
