The Weatherford Lady Roos (22-11, 3-0) claimed their fourth-straight victory Tuesday night, sweeping the Euless Trinity Lady Trojans, 3-0 in a District 3-6A match at home.

The win moves Weatherford to 3-0 in district, with a matchup against the also undefeated (in district play) San Angelo Central Lady Bobcats up next.

The Lady Roos won by no smaller than an eight-point margin in any set Tuesday, taking the first, 25-15, the second, 25-17, and third, 25-16.

Weatherford was aggressive at the point of attack against the visiting Lady Trojans, racking up seven aces led by junior setter Logan Loran, who contributed three.

Loran also accounted for 40 assists.

Lady Roos’ junior middle blocker Abbie Lane put up a team-high 10 kills, with teammates Tatum Wright, Jayla Schultz, Chloe Brownlee and Lynsey Lee adding nine, eight, seven and five kills, respectively.

Sophomore defensive specialist Keegan O’Connor paced Weatherford in digs with 30, while Wright tacked on 13 digs.

The Lady Roos play the SAC Lady Bobcats in a District 3-6A match at 5 p.m. Friday on the road.
