Bray headed to state lift

Weatherford senior Caylee Bray is part of a Parker County contingent of powerlifting state qualifiers who will compete in Corpus Christi later this week. Bray qualified in the 105-pound weight class with lifts totaling 565 pounds. She is coached by WISD’s Jamie Tharp.


The Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association will hold its state meet this week in Corpus Christi and will have a contingent of lifters from Parker County as part of the competition.

Weatherford’s Caylee Bray qualified at the Division I, Region 6 meet a couple of weeks ago and will make the trip to the coast.

Millsap will also send representatives. Courtney Coker and Carley Scott will be competing, having qualified in Division 3 from Region 6.

Springtown sends four lifters who qualified in Division 2 competition from Region 6. They are Alli Roglin, Martha Chavez, Tabi Rogers and Sydney Counts.

Competition begins on Friday at the American Bank Center, 1901 N. Shoreline Blvd., in Corpus Christi and will conclude on Saturday.
