Anchored by Brock’s senior-rich Class 3A Championship squad, the division, which includes Peaster and Millsap, made a formidable impact on the 2014-15 All-Parker County roster. Class 3A players filled nearly half of the 45 slots on the roster.

The 2014-15 All-Parker County MVP, Lance Ewell, proved to be the most dominant presence on the courts throughout the season, heading up a very talented Brock Eagles roster.

The senior ruled the boards more times than not and was the primary go-to when assuming the post position against opposing bigs. But he also used his ball-handling ability on the perimeter and frustrated defenders by hitting a modest amount of long-range baskets as well.

Teammate Bailey Cockburn was named the APC Co-Offensive Player  of the Year, sharing the kudo with Poolville’s highly-productive Taylor King. Point guard Cockburn is recognized as much for his role as Brock’s proficient setup man at the offensive end as for his oft deadly drains from three-point land.

Also sharing a Superlative spot, Aledo’s Cameron Caldwell is one of the top newcomers for the season, helping the Bearcats earn a postseason berth. Peaster’s Tate Phillips fills the other newbie slot, and is a promising cog in the Greyhounds’ promisingly prosperous future.

Poolville made another deep run into the Class 2A playoffs, thanks in large part to senior Taylor King, who averaged 20 points per contest as the primary catalyst for the Monarchs offense. King shares the top offensive player honors with Cockburn.

There are certainly plenty of contributors from the county’s higher classifications, as well.

Weatherford senior Tony Banks heads up a group of First Team players  that includes cagers from all of the area schools. The first teamers include Aledo senior Braxton McCoy and Springtown’s Kruz Dominguez (senior) and Dawson Meek (junior).

Most of the APC selectees were also selected to their respective all-district teams, but a deeper look is warranted in some cases. As team success is often a contributor to the selection process, there are some players whose overall contributions may not be reflected.

Weatherford’s Tyler Scoggin, a senior, and junior Lane Guest are included in the rolls for their efforts in a very competitive district grouping in Class 6A.

Adding to the Class 3A coups of the APC rolls, Brock Head Coach Zach Boxell and his able staff were named the top mentors of the season, leading the Eagles through a mostly-dominant handling of their season slate, then punctuating the year with a breath-taking finale against a Randolph team that specialized in steering opponents from their usually fare of success. Boxell held Brock’s focus together through the unexpectedly close final contest and finished the task.
