Peaster to kick off postseason against City View

The Peaster Greyhounds will play the City View Mustangs (Wichita Falls) in the bi-district round of the Class 3A playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Olney High School.

Peaster (23-9, 9-1) is on a three-game win sreak.

City View (18-12, 6-8) has lost three of its last four.

The Greyhounds, ranked No. 4 in the state in Class 3A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC), have won seven of their last eight.

Peaster is also a district co-champ with Brock in District 7-3A.

However, a coin toss after the end of the regular season recently awarded Peaster the first place seed over Brock.

The Greyhounds fell 44-40 to Nocona in the regional quarterfinals last season.

City View fell to Brock in the bi-district round, 73-56 during the 2016-2017 season.

Peaster ready for Comanche

The Peaster Lady Greyhounds will play the Comanche Lady Indians in the area round of the Class 3A playoffs at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Glenrose High School.

Peaster (20-5, 9-3), has won seven of its last eight games.

The Lady Greyhounds defeated the Nocona Lady Indians 51-40 in the bi-district round earlier this week.

Comanche fell to Colorado 52-36 in the bi-district round of the playoffs during its 2016-2017 campaign.

Aledo Lady Cats turn sights to Trimble Tech

The Aledo Lady Cats will play the Trimble Tech Lady Bulldogs (Fort Worth) in the area round of the Class 5A playoffs at 7 p.m. Friday at Burleson Centennial High School.

Aledo (27-3, 12-2) defeated the Denton Ryan Lady Raiders in the bi-district round 42-28 earlier this week.

Trimble Tech (26-8, 14-0) has not lost a game since the last week of December.

The Lady Bulldogs fell last season to Colleyville 59-38 in the quarterfinals. Brock prepares to take on Nocona

The Brock Eagles will play the Nocona Indians in the bi-district round of the Class 3A playoffs at 8 p.m. Monday at Graham High School.

Brock (30-3, 10-1), the co-district champion of District 7-3A with Peaster, is on a nine-game win streak.

The Eagles, ranked No. 2 in the state in Class 3A by the TABC, were awarded the second place seed, after tying with Peaster in district play this season.

Nocona (25-6, 11-3) has rolled recently as well, winning its last five games.

Brock advanced to the Class 3A state championship during the 2016-2017 season, before falling to Madison 42-36.

Brock Lady Eagles move on to Merkel

The Brock Lady Eagles will play the Merkel Lady Badgers in the area round of the Class 3A playoffs at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Brownwood High School.

Brock (28-6, 12-0) has not lost a game since the first week of December.

The Lady Eagles, ranked No. 6 in the state in Class 3A by the TABC, defeated the Paradise Lady Panthers in the bi-district round 61-49 earlier this week.

Merkel (23-11, 6-4) did not make the playoffs during its 2016-2017 season.

Poolville to fight Tom Bean

The Poolville Monarchs will play the Tom Bean Tomcats in the bi-district round of the Class 2A playoffs at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Denton Ryan High School.

Poolville (16-9, 7-2) finished second behind Muenster in District 11-2A this season.

The Monarchs advanced to the area round of the playoffs last season, before falling 33-31 to Seymour.

Tom Bean (18-15, 5-5) fell to Electra 62-53 in the area round of the playoffs last season.

Poolville Lady Monarchs target Archer City

The Poolville Lady Monarchs will play the Archer City Lady Wildcats in the area round of the Class 2A playoffs at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Graham High School.

Poolville (19-13, 4-6) defeated the Collinsville Lady Pirates in the bi-district round 48-46 earlier this week.

Archer City advanced to the area round of the playoffs last season, falling 40-29 to Bells.Millsap to battle Bowie

The Millsap Bulldogs will play the Bowie Jackrabbits in the bi-district round of the Class 3A playoffs at 6 p.m. Monday at Azle High School.

Millsap did not make the playoffs during the 2016-2017 season.

The Jackrabbits (22-8-1, 13-1),

advanced to the regional quarterfinals of the Class 3A playoffs last season before falling to Brock, 58-55.

TCA prepares for Midland Classical

The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles will play the Midland Classical Knights in the bi-district round of the TAPPS 3A playoffs at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Merkel High School.

Trinity Christian Academy (22-7, 6-2) is ranked No. 9 in the state in TAPPS 3A.

TCA Lady Eagles to face Dallas Lutheran

The Trinity Christian Academy Lady Eagles will play the Dallas Lutheran Lady Lions in the bi-district round of the TAPPS 3A playoffs at 6 p.m. Friday at home.
