The Millsap Lady Bulldogs rebounded from a loss to Poolville late last week in a big way Tuesday evening at home, as the team routed the Venus Lady Bulldogs, 65-23.
Millsap put the pressure on Venus early, exploding for 18 first-quarter points while holding its opponent to a measly two points in the frame.
Venus showed signs of life in the second quarter, outscoring the home team, 10-8 to pull within 26-12 at halftime.
However, the reprieve proved short-lived for Venus, as Millsap stormed back following halftime with a 25-6 run in the third quarter to pull ahead, 51-18 heading into the final frame.
From there, Millsap tacked on another 14 points (compared to five by Venus) in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
