The Poolville Lady Monarchs (20-3) defeated the Tioga Lady Bulldogs in a non-district match, 3-1 Tuesday afternoon at home.

Poolville took the first set, 25-22 and the second set, 25-14, before falling, 23-25 in the third set.

The Lady Monarchs rebounded, coming away with a 25-20 win in the fourth set to seal the match.

Junior outside hitter Lexi Heiser paced Poolville in kills with 10, while teammate Payton Jennings, a junior setter, led the team in assists and service points.

Lady Monarchs’ Head Coach Kendal Bracy said the home win was a collective effort by her team.

“All the [girls] fought hard for every point and made Poolville proud with their effort,” Bracy said. 

Poolville plays Tom Bean Lady Tomcats in a non-district match at 4:30 p.m. Friday on the road.
