The Tison eighth-grade football teams hosted Stephenville Tuesday. The Red team began with a 22-6 win. Keith Miller had two touchdown runs and two Interceptions. Austin Hill added a 60-yard TD run. Fidensio Matturino, Justin Williams, Zach Harriman, Cristian Ortega, and Sterling Alexander led the defense with several quarterback sacks.

The White team won the next game, 20-8. Will Fisher, Daniel Arraiza, Ryan Roberts, and Billy Boyle anchored the line. Justin Neighbors, Jakaan Norwood, and Jordan Simmons had one interception each. Scott Welch had two touchdown runs, with Bailey Hulsey adding another. Matt Riney managed the game well at quarterback.

The Blue team then capped off the night with a 38-12 victory. Logan Logsdon led the Roos with three touchdowns, with 5-yards and 55-yard TD receptions and a 40-yard run. Courtney Galentine also had a 90-yard rushing touchdown, and threw a 55-yard scoring pass. Colton Mallory a touchdown pass and read the option well at quarterback. Receivers Jacob Catlin, Jonathon Weger, and Jacob McCarty blocked well downfield. The defense spurred five turnovers, causing two fumbles and three interceptions. Logsdon, Mallory, and Matt Whittworth had a pick each, with Whittworth returning his interception for the game’s final score. Josh Finholt, Hayden Davis, Braden Lemons, and Colton Burch played well on defense.

The eighth-grade Roos will be in action again Tuesday at Acton Middle School in Granbury.
