Three Millsap Bulldogs were recently recognized for their play throughout the 2019 season, with the team taking home a trio of second-team District 7-3A awards.
Junior Lane Brian was awarded second-team pitcher of the year distinction, senior Payton Smith was named second-team utility player of the year and junior Thomas Jordan was recognized with second-team offensive player of the year honors.
Brian racked up 62 strikeouts, collected four wins as well as two saves and owned an ERA of 3.26 in 54 innings pitched.
Smith also enjoyed plenty of success on the mound for the Bulldogs, piling up 45 strikeouts to go along with three wins, two saves and an ERA of 3.81 in 50 innings pitched.
The senior pitcher also collected nine RBIs to go along with 11 stolen bases on the offensive end.
Jordan was also a force at the plate, batting .300 to go along with 10 RBIs, eight stolen bases and an on-base percentage of .349.
