Weatherford Christian School’s varsity cross country team joined Weatherford High School at Round Rock’s McNeil Invitational Saturday, with the Lions finishing 10th (Class 3A-1A) out of 17 qualifying teams with 253 points.

Great Hearts Monte Vista finished in the top spot on the boys’ side of Class 3A-1A competition with 46 points.

Lago Vista proved the top girls’ team in the Class 3A-1A 2-Mile with 68 points out of 12 qualifying teams.

Weatherford Christian School’s individual results from Round Rock are:

Boys’ 5000M (Class 3A-1A) 

• Luke Smith, 29th with a time of 19:11.90

• Drew Meeks, 44th with a time of 19:53.20

• Joshua Smith, 54th with a time of 20:13.90

• Preston Hornick, 63rd with a time of 20:44.60

• Ben Meeks, 88th with a time of 22:01.50

• Fuston Powell, 100th with a time of 22:33.50

Girls’ 2-Mile (Class 3A-1A)

• Julia Burks, 72nd with a time of 17:19.20

• Frances Bryant, 89th with a time of 18:46.20

• Lexi Williams, 119th with a time of 28:42.00

• Jenna Mance, 120th with a time of 28:45.20
