The Weatherford Lady Roos’ 3-0 win over the Haltom Lady Buffaloes Thursday afternoon at home served as the continuation of several enviable streaks, standing as the team’s seventh-straight match win, fifth-straight district win and fourth-straight 3-0 sweep.

Weatherford came out with a dominant 25-7 win in the first set, before muscling its way to a 25-18 victory in set two.

The Lady Roos subsequently proceeded to close out the match with another lopsided win, taking set three, 25-11.

Senior middle blocker Chloe Brownlee put up a team-high 10 kills for the Lady Roos.

As a team, Weatherford notched nine aces, with junior outside hitter Lynsey Lee leading the way with three aces.

Sophomore defensive specialist Keegan O’Connor and sophomore setter Ava Saltzgiver each finished with double-digit digs for the home team, earning 19 and 10, respectively.

O’Connor also paced the team in service receptions with 12.

Junior setter Logan Loran finished with a team-high 22 assists, followed by Saltzgiver, who earned 10 assists.

Weatherford hosts the Hurst L.D. Bell Lady Blue Raiders in a District 3-6A match at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
