Yvonne L. de Leleu Young Watson, 83, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006, at a local nursing home.
Yvonne was born July 5, 1922, in Parker County, Texas, the daughter of Maurice V. and Donnie Prather de Leleu. She was the owner and operator of Yvonne’s Beauty Salon for more than 50 years. Yvonne devoted 50 years to the Sunday preschool program of North Side Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands, John Ward Young and Weldon L. Watson; brother, Bill de Leleu; and nephew, Desi de Leleu.
She is survived by her son, John Maurice Young and wife, Connie; granddaughter, Mica Renee Sanders and husband, Jimmy; great grandchildren, Tommy, Kaitlyn and Jamie Sanders, all of Weatherford; sister-in-law, Polly de Leleu Ryan and niece, Lisa de Leleu; sister, Marcelle Hopper and husband, Charles, and nephews, Ken and Dee, also of Weatherford.
Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at the North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in the name of Yvonne de Leleu Young Watson may be made to the Preschool fund of North Side Baptist Church.
